The global problem of antibiotic overuse is now escalating to the point where bacteria have evolved that are specifically resistant to this form of medication. This poses a real threat to the global population and its health. The declining effectiveness of antibiotics is sometimes referred to as the post-antibiotic era - in other words, a state where normally treatable infections are becoming deadly again.

Hope from natural resources

Recent studies have shown that the active substances in cannabis, specifically cannabidiol (hereafter CBD), have, among other properties, very strong antibacterial and antimicrobial effects, not only against common bacteria.

A 2008 study entitled 'Antibacterial cannabinoids from Cannabis sativa: a structural activity study' found that cannabinoids have powerful antibacterial properties, including against MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus):

"All five major cannabinoids (cannabidiol, cannabichromene, cannabigerol, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, and cannabinol) demonstrated potent activity against the full spectrum of types of methicillin-resistant golden staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) relevant to contemporary medicine."

"All agents have demonstrated robust antibacterial activity. The activity against some types of bacteria was exceptional, particularly against SA-11999 B, a multi-antibiotic resistant bacterium that has a high degree of resistance to some fluoroquinolones. Also of note was the robust activity against EMRSA-15 and EMRSA-16, the main types of methicillin-resistant golden staphylococcus. Compared to standard antibiotics, the action of cannabis is much stronger."[1]

Cannabis is a very sophisticated plant

It is clear that the cannabis plant is a highly evolved natural organism of as yet undiscovered potential. The world of nature and plants in particular simply continues to surprise us. We have no choice but to observe, learn and consider the benefits it brings us.

From our product range, we recommend our CBD oils to your attention. The oils are made from Cannabis Sativa plants grown in virgin nature in a protected area without the use of pesticides and herbicides. Experience its beneficial effects for yourself.
